Just got back from a great weekend in Washington. Much thanks to my love for having me at her place all weekend! We were caught messing around by her mom. Luckily there was nothing much going on and she wasn't especially mad. We're definitely old enough to be respectful. Good times.

Mailing in the offer acceptance letter for my new job. It is a sweet company and a sweet offer. I can't wait to start in a few weeks. I'm pretty tired and stressed. Classes and wrapping things up at Cisco are sucking up all of my days (and my soul). Think i'll eat a val and head to bed.
Often I wish that life were easy. That big decisions never had to be made, nothing would require deep thought, and that the easy option was ostensibly the best. Unfortunately life is very difficult and only gets harder as you age and are entrusted with new responsibilities. This past month or two has been brutal for me. I've had job problems, school problems, relationship woes, new job offers, for a moment there was contention between potential employers, an angry outgoing boss, car problems, and more that I don't want to write about. I'm glad that most of them are resolved, and nearly all of those that are still unresolved are coming within my grasp. It is tough though and I still have a lot of hard work ahead of me.
It was so fitting when I heard this song on the radio the other day.
When We Were Young Funny how things just tasted betterWhen we were youngWhen we were youngFunny how things just seemed so easyWhen we were youngIt's been a long dayIt's been a long dayIt's been a long dayIt's been a long dayI wanna get outI wanna go homeIs anything betterThan you on the phoneI wanna get outI wanna go homeIs anything betterThan you on the phoneI think that we weren't always gratefulFor what you've doneWhen we were youngI think that we weren't always gratefulFor what you've doneWe've come a long wayWe've come a long wayWe've come a long wayWe've come a long wayI wanna get outI wanna go homeIs anything betterThan you on the phoneYou on the phoneYou on the phone...
